Wendy here... it's Saturday. I'm rousing myself from a midday nap and backpedaling, in my mind (and now through my fingertips, reasons why I don't actually HAVE to write a message today.
Even though I told you all about how I was going to do it and what you would expect.
The fact is, part of each day as a writer, there is some mental tennis match about whether or not I'm going to show up to do the work.
No matter how I'm feeling. There are days that come along where I don't feeeeeel like it. Can you visualize the toddler-stomp here? The smoldering tweeny eye roll? Got it? LOL.
Well, hold on... because there's a ridiculous flip-side too.
Some days I WANT to show up, but I still put it off to torture myself with the above-mentioned mental tennis match.
It's so funny.
And it's only funny because it's true.
The real story here is, showing up to the page to pursue my own improvement in copywriting is worth my time, effort, energy, and all the other self-care tasks that end up in my day.
Including downtime... ahhhh the luxury and restorative power of naps!
The short answer here is... this is worth doing.
And the gravy?
Integrity. As of these last few sentences, I'm in it as far as my writing goes.
Which is also worth it.
I'd love to talk with you about this and more goodness on a daily basis, friend.
Could you use a peptalk? A check in? Some creative insight and encouragement?
