Did you ever watch Grey's Anatomy? One character, played by Sandra Oh, says of another character, "She's my person."
And this got me to thinking of the relationship and trust that is needed between an entrepreneur/business owner and a copywriter.
The copywriter needs to "get" not only the owner, their mission, their vision, their industry, their business, and business goals but also need to be able to deliver the message that aligns it all clearly and compellingly (compellingly?) for the ideal audience.
You may want a good copywriter. That's understandable.
And I'm not sure that is good enough.
May I suggest you hold out for the right one for you and your business who also has good communication, business, strategic, and copywriting skills?
The right copywriter is going to be your person.
The one you go to, share with, and can count on to deliver that message... the message that not only describes you and your business but also effectively gets the results intended that will advance your business.
If you've got messaging that needs to be written and delivered how will you try to find your (copywriter) person?
Next message, I'll share a few ideas on what to ask, and what to listen for when you interview potential writers and content creators.
