About Wendy

Hi. Welcome!

OmniArtist and cowgirl-at-heart Wendy Sloneker currently lives and loves in Seattle with her dachshund Otto. Creating, writing and teaching motivate and inspire her…every day!

Wendy most recently contributed to Davison and Morris’s feltique, published in 2009. She was a contributor to Jennifer Worick’s The Prairie Girl’s Guide to Life, Jane Davila’s and Elin Waterston’s Art Quilt Workbook, Art with Heart’s Chill & Spill Educator’s Companion (2009) and the Chill & Spill Therapist’s Companion (2006), plus she wrote original craft content pieces for CraftStylish.com in 2008 and special interest publications through the Sunset Publishing Corporation.

She was KidsQuest Museum’s Artist-in-Action in early 2008 and served as that museum’s Home School Art Instructor as well. Wendy has taught art and creativity classes on both the East and West Coasts for 15+ years.

She continues to write and encourage folks to show up and try the things they are curious about, and slightly scared of. Her life continues to be about not knowing.

Head on over  to the Oasis Art Gallery for Wendy’s knitted, quilted and beaded works at the Oasis Art Gallery in the Wallingford district of Seattle. Knit bags and buttons are in the Fiber Gallery in Phinney Ridge. Or, if you’re in the Hawthorne district in PDX, check out The Yarn Garden.
