Social Media is all about sharing....Making meaningful connections with your audience, fellows, potential clients, current customers - all of us. This short article suggests a form of content that isn't a pitch....it's an offering of information...cloaked in a story. Your story.
Not Another Opportunity to Buy Something
Why? I don't know about you, but I feel inundated by "offers"...clamors, invitations, suggestions, demands even....and I get tired, saturated and check out if I feel like a business or artist just wants my money....it's a turn off.
And yes, there is a time and place for pitching a sale...may I suggest is not 100% of the time, offering or resources?
Why Are You Doing What You Are Doing?
Consider offering a 1-minute video slideshow or an audio file. In putting the video together (right) I answered the questions: How I got started and why I do this.
Pictures illustrate, soundbed moves things along and gives an intentional tone, and the text offers the barest skeleton of a story....it all comes together.

Give a Little Bit
Being a vendor and a customer of handmade sundries, I believe the following: If I like someone's work, I am also open and sometimes curious to know a bit more about the person, the process, the story....Consider giving some information, some background in an entertaining way. There's a connection to be made here.
And then, nurtured. 
But nurturing a connection is a different story. there's a connection to be made here!
