I played with Prezi.com and found it a fun and zoomy toy/tool for creating MultiMedia Resumes.  It's a web-based freemeium tool  - and a break from Power Point, which I don't have installed on my laptop.
The overall idea of Prezi is to collect and create your presentation on a white board: incorporating the usual tidbits of text and graphics...AND additional functionality includes embedding videos or audio files.

I highly recommend taking a peek at the samples they offer offer on their Explore tab. Putting together a resume or portfolio is sometimes an overwhelming task....I took a couple of minutes to familiarize myself with what might be possible and it helped with the inspiration level for me.

This sample (right) was created for a position as an Exec Asst to an Author of a self-help book. A cover letter, photo and resume were requested. Prezi allowed for more flexibility in working up the "cover letter" - which ended up being a couple of slides about the Vision - and what, in general terms, that might be. I had other Goals in as well, but edited most of them out to just give you an idea of the whole presentation.

I found this tool fun to learn - but had to really keep focused on the task at hand- or I'd have sunk a LOT more time into it than I actually had.

    Welcome!

A Jill of selective trades, I'm always learning....
