It don't take much...

Handmade Life  -aka-  A life spent throwing spaghetti.

02.10.10  - There Is No “They” – Only “We”

So the knees are recovered from go-go dancing, thanks for askin’…..and am back in the studiette, tidying up and putting away the wreckage of pre-show maelstrom….perhaps I am exaggerating?
Uh. No.

Other items to tidy and give attention to are rearing: such as home maintenance… taking action on fixing, replacing, scheduling inspections… stuff like that…and in these items come opportunities to communicate and work WITH PEOPLE…. like neighbors, friends, family members, colleagues….And there’s lots of feedback to be had! Volumes of feedback! Which I am happy to give my ears and attention to in order to ascertain what actually needs to happen.

Then comes the part about making it happen. Putting a plan together and following through. This is the part that can bring satisfaction – when a task gets completed. Also, this very element can be elusive and difficult to execute…just in the doing of it.

Identifying a challenge or need is one thing. Taking action! Sometimes I find myself waiting for some amorphous “they” to swoop down and fix the windows, make the calls and be sure to deliver 1% and soy milks for my coffee the next day. There is no “they” coming.

It’s ME. And it’s WE.

So let’s get out from under the list -
do the not-so-glamourous pieces, and then go have some fun.
It doesn’t really take much to do the work…and the rewards are beyond what I could have imagined. Life is happening NOW. Just live it.
